An Eskimo Ivory Effigy Figure
Carved and incised Walrus ivory.Probably Thule, circa 1500 - 1800 A.D.
L 4 1/4 in.
Possibly a hunting amulet, in the form of a stylized caribou, with hollowed areas drilled below the limbs, possibly
once inlaid, and pierced neck, and crown; aged creamy brown patina with areas of wear.
